People urged to get in the loop with craft club
A LONG-RUNNING Crook craft group is looking for some fresh faces.The group meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at Park Avenue Close common room, Crook, 2pm until 4pm.
Evelyn Ranson said: ³Come along and join us.
³We will give a warm welcome to new members and anybody who would like to come along and show us a new craft can!
³If you don¹t want to join in with crafts then just come along and enjoy the company.
³It¹s an open invitation so please feel free to turn up for the next meeting.² The group was founded 12 years ago by Ann Drysdale, Freda Young, and Ada March, who still attend today.
The ladies have made beautiful tapestries, embroideries, and quilts and also enjoy knitting, Canasta, Scrabble and card games.
Visitors pay £1 for each meeting and 50p if they would like refreshments.
Each meet runs from 2pm until 4pm
