Visitor network lands Killhope manager

MUSEUM chief Ian Forbes is taking over the reins of the Weardale Visitor Network.
Ian, who is also manager of Killhope Lead Mining Museum, said: ³Weardale has a large amount to offer visitors and I am delighted to be chairman.
³We will be working to bring more people to Weardale and to make sure that those who come have the best possible time.
³I¹m sure businesses and attractions will work well together for the benefit of tourism in Weardale.
³The Network have produced a where to eat guide and we are also aiming to get a website up and running in the next few months.² The Weardale Visitor Network aims to promote a healthy tourism trade in Weardale and all of its members are involved in the tourist trade themselves.
