Asbo crackdown on estates' yob

POLICE have slapped seven anti social behaviour contracts on unruly local youths and promised to up patrols on a Crook estate.
Two teens from Watergate, and five on Low Mown Meadows estate have been handed the contracts.
All seven of the young males are aged between 12 and 16 and are connected to incidents of drinking, graffiti, noisy behaviour and loitering in public areas.
The small cluster of shops at Low Mown Meadows has been a frequent target for anti social behaviour in recent months and police are hoping the contracts will go some way to stamp this out.
And, following a spate of burglaries on the Watergate estate, Police Community Support Officers Sherry Kenyon, John Bates, and Geoff Hope will be out on high visibility tours of the area on a daily basis over the next fortnight The officers will also be talking to residents about the recent incidents and gathering information in a bid to deter troublemakers.
